There are a few advanced things on AboveTopSecret that are a bit hard to figure out. These are all pretty important topics that you might really need to know for your membership to the site.

ATS Social Network

Many discussion boards allow some level of customization of member profiles. AboveTopSecret takes it a step further and ads social networking to member profiles.

ATS members can not only list their friends on their profile, but they can also add their respected foes.

To access your profile click the "My Profile" button on the menu bar.

Mini Profile Section
The top left section of the member profile page is the mini profile page. It shows the members avatar and other information that will show up on any
of that member’s posts on the message boards.

Friend or Foe?
Below the Mini Profile Section there are two buttons, "Friend" and "Foe." Clicking either button will add the member to your Friend or Foe list.

Comments Section
Below the "Three Most Recent Threads" members can receive public comments from other members of ATS. Members who wish to participate in this part
of Social Networking must first launch the Comment Section by entering the fist message.

The ATS Thread Flagging System

There is a new feature on ATS we've hinted about, and some members have already noticed: Thread Flagging. The new flagging tool appears on all threads, and looks like this:

Very similar to the ranking systems on DIGG and delicious, it enables you to flag threads you feel are important or interesting. Once you've flagged a thread, you cannot re-flag or remove your flag... you can only flag once:
