Searching
for Information on ATS
Searching for topics of interest can be a daunting task given the sheer size of the AboveTopSecret domains. For best results, I suggest using the Advance Search tool which allows for very specific detailed searches though the site, a specific domain, or even through a specific forum.
Community Project: Unified Conspiracy Search Engine
We have a brand new initiative designed to provide ATS members with the opportunity to help the entire conspiracy theory and alternative topics community.
The Unified Conspiracy Search Engine
The Unified Conspiracy Search Engine is collaborative search engine built and refined by the members of AboveTopSecret.com as service for the online conspiracy theory and "alternative" topics community. Volunteer to help build and refine this custom Google search engine into an indispensable resource.
Learn more about this collaborative search engine from the members of AboveTopSecret.com at this discussion forum thread.
Google Search
Now even easier! Just look for the Google form field at the top of each page, type in what you're looking for, choose a domain or the web, and click the Search ATS button.
ATS Advanced Search
At the top of each page, you will see the button for the Advanced Forum
Search. The advanced search allows for very specific and granular searches
on forum posts and thread titles.

Example (from the Advanced Search page):
Searching on "bird flu" in the first field will give you all the posts in the forums and timeframes specified that contain the phrase, "bird flu".
If you refine your search by adding "Dick Cheney" in the second field, and selecting "must be" in the pulldown to the left, the search give you all the posts in the forums and timeframes specified that contain both phrases, "bird flu" and "Dick Cheney".
If you further refine your search by adding "George Bush" in the third field, and select "must not be" in the pulldown to the left, the search give you all the posts in the forums and timeframes specified that contain both phrases, "bird flu" and "Dick Cheney" and DO NOT contain the phrase "George Bush".
Tips and Additional Information:
All searches return a maximum of 75 threads or posts, so it's best to work on refining your search.
When you search on forum posts, click on the author's name to jump to the specific post that matches your search.
When you search on forum thread subject lines, the date range is ignored and all threads are searched.
If you're not getting any returns, try expanding the date range.
